We want to provide a space to host and highlight our community of black female reseller entrepreneurs. We believe that community is key and that together, we can build a sisterhood that drives success. More than a members' club, we champion the kind of collaboration that inspires professional development, networking and accelerate innovative approaches to social selling.
Black Women In Resale will ensure that black women have the tools and resources that will allow them to be successful in their entrepreneurial pursuits in reselling through educational masterclasses, speaker series, the Level Up Academy, and an online directory.
That said, women resellers of all races and backgrounds are naturally more than welcome and we encourage them to join us in our pursuit of highlighting and uplifting Black Women In Resale.
In 2014, Ayana founded the Facebook Group, Thrifting Divas, to allow women to showcase their love for secondhand shopping. Today, Thrifting Divas has become one of the most amazing communities of secondhand fashion enthusiasts on Facebook and has grown to over 78K members and expanding daily.
In 2020, during one of the most tumultuous economic downturns in America, Ayana pivoted her platform to allow women to sell via Facebook LIVEs, providing an opportunity for women to earn additional income during financial hardship.
As a result of their initial successes with Facebook LIVEs, many women transitioned their love for thrifting and reselling into full and part-time businesses. As Facebook LIVEs propelled their success, Thrifting Divas became one of the best communities to learn how to start a resale business and leverage the Facebook platform to earn 6-figures reselling.
As Atlanta’s Thrift Expert, Keren founded the Thrifting Atlanta Facebook Group in 2011 as a way to share her passion for thrift shopping and a resource for those wanting the insider scoop on the thrift scene in Atlanta.
Her genuine love for thrifting, creativity, and helping others, helped her to organically grow her group to over 50K members worldwide.
During the country’s lockdown due to the pandemic in 2020, Keren saw the need for her members to continue to be able to enjoy their love for thrifting and provided an opportunity for members to resell via Facebook LIVEs on her platform. It was an immediate success with her community.
As a result, many Thrifting Atlanta members seized the opportunity to step into the world of entrepreneurship and started their own resale business. Keren was instrumental in providing resources and guidance to these women, most of whom are African American, as they navigate the world of business ownership.
